Job Description

Truck driver using company’s own fleet of tipper, concrete mixer and any similar vehicle used in the construction industry. Candidates will be driving small to large sized trucks normally used in construction and civil engineering works such as tipper trucks, concrete mixer trucks, delivery vans, pick ups, etc…

Some of the main tasks might include;

Transport: building materials

Transport: bulk (cereals, raw basic materials…)

Check condition and function of machine, position machines in accordance with processes

Distribute freight among the various subsections of the location (production chain, picking zone…)

Set up route according to delivery requirements. Check documents (timetables, order form…)

Determine route according to specifications of the vehicle, cargo and terms of delivery (priorities)

Perform emergency measures in case of accident. Notify services concerned

Organise and check the loading of goods onto vehicle

Prepare goods. Load goods as per delivery route

Pick up products and goods, transport and deliver. Check the conformity of goods together with the client

Deliver orders

Drive a specific vehicle: Truck with mobile crane (for cars)

Drive a specific vehicle: Dump car (tipper)

Drive a specific vehicle: Lorry with concrete mixer

Drive a specific vehicle: Container truck

Drive/steer a specific vehicle: tanker (bowser)

Drive a specific vehicle: special transportation vehicle (unbalanced mass – exceptional length)

Drive a specific vehicle: Truck/lorry weighing more than 7.5 tons

Load and unload vehicle – manually or with non-motorised machines for goods handling

Prepare goods handling equipment (turnbuckles, cotters, containers, clamp hooks…)

Drive specific vehicle: fixed truck

Drive specific vehicle: truck with tipper

Drive specific vehicle: hanging load truck

Transport: trunks, tubes/pipes

Drive specific vehicle: loading hatch truck

 

Salary is of circa Eur855.00 to Eur1200.00 per month of 40 hour week
