Job Description

Work will include erection of formwork, lay and fixing of reinforcement and/or casting of concrete. Mentioned tasks will be in relation to the construction of private houses, industrial units, schools, public buildings, garages amongst others. Candidates must be willing to work overtime hours.

Some of the main tasks might include;

Pour concrete in mould or prestressed concrete mould

Dismantle the item and disassemble the mould

Place steel reinforcing bars (rebars), armouring, inserts, recesses, in mould or prestressed concrete mould

Prepare material (cables, steel cables…) and concrete for the execution of the product (prestressed concrete, concrete blocks…)

Assemble a formwork (in metal, wood, pvc…)

Take samples of materials or products, give reference and register for analysis

Arrange storage areas and give directions to trucks

Check structure or resistance of a product: Mechanical control

Finish off and trim pieces (trim corners, close sleeve holes, remove cement paste…)

Draw up orders for concrete or requirements to manufacture pieces

Mark and label products (reference…)

Manufacture reinforcements/armouring in steel

Manufacture prestressed concrete units by means of: prestressed concrete mould (shuttering panels, beams, sheet of corrugated material)

Manufacture prestressed concrete units by means of: moulds (straight beams, I-beams, crossbeams)

Adjust and check functioning of checking and measuring instruments

 

Salary is of circa Eur836.00 to Eur1000.00 per month of 40 hour week

 

Three (3) years experience is similar job is required
