Seeking an accounting role in Gozo? Eager to be part of a global Wellness and Healthcare organisation?  We are looking for an organised Senior Finance Officer that will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The chosen candidate will provide management to the team to ensure the smooth running of the Finance function and oversight of the financial position and obligations of the Company.

What is expected of you?

  • Assist the CFO to provide the company’s financial management service. This includes the delivery of a financial management service to clinical and non-clinical divisions and assisting the CFO in managing the operational financial performance of the company
  • Co-ordinate the work of the FM team, ensuring timely, accurate and relevant, income, expenditure and activity reports are available for budget holders
  • Provide specialist/in-depth financial advice to senior management and within finance
  • Lead monthly review of financial performance and produce the appropriate narrative and variance analysis for the relevant financial reports to the agreed deadlines
  • Ensure standing financial instructions and codes of procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Provide support to the CFO in the delivery of a full financial business partnering function
  • Manage the processes for the company’s financial forecast, business planning, efficiencies and budgeting cycles
  • Assist in the preparation of financial revenue and capital plans for the company by co-ordinating the Divisions plans
  • Support the CFO in upholding good financial controls, including challenging budget holders/managers financial performance in appropriate forums
  • Work with the CFO to ensure that the financial plan is reflected accurately in the budgeting system, including maintaining the overall framework and supporting systems for recording budget approvals and approved developments
  • Take a lead role in assisting the development and implementation of IT solutions to enhance cost efficiency
  • Assist in the design and provision of training to Budget Holders

What are you expected to bring?

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a finance department
  • Accountancy or Finance Degree
  • Proven ability and experience of demonstrating strong credible and professional management skills
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to use a variety of communication tools
  • Proven ability to explain technical and complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues
