Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD) is a faculty of Queen Mary University of London, one of the three largest colleges of the University of London, and a member of the prestigious Russell Group.  The School is ranked 3rd in the UK for Medicine (Guardian University Guide 2018) and now offers a five-year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in Medicine.

QMUL (Malta) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Queen Mary and is based on Gozo.  We currently have 60 residential student beds with capacity to increase our portfolio over a 5 year period.

Applications are invited for the post of part-time Residential Assistant, on a fixed term contract to 30th June 2019.

Residential Assistants are fundamental in helping us to nurture a sense of community within our accommodation. Working under the guidance and management of the Operations and Facilities Manager you will provide a welcoming housing enquiries and reception service; helping applicants, students, agents and residents via office, email, telephone and social media.  You will work closely with our accommodation partners to conduct routine and emergency site inspections.   You can deliver a high standard of customer service in undertaking routine tasks and dealing with issues as they arise.

You will need to have a good standard of education, together with excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.  You have a can-do attitude and understand the issues faced by students when moving to university but can remain impartial and professional when dealing with difficult situations.  As the role involves duties at University accommodation on Gozo, it is essential that you are a car owner/driver.

This post will be employed by QMUL Malta Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of Queen Mary University of London and will be based in Malta. The post is term time only and the post holder will work 25 hours per week during the academic sessions (total of 39 weeks).

The salary is €8750 per annum.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in Malta in accordance relevant law (Please check The successful candidate will require a DBS / Police check.
