Job Description


One of our clients in the Financial Services sector is seeking to recruit IT Administrator. This is a position that will attract individuals who are hands-on problem solvers with the ability to come up with creative and practical technical solutions and who are constantly updating their knowledge of the developments in the IT industry. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced but supportive office environment, delivering cost-effective and timely solutions, then you will fit well within our Firm’s culture.

What is expected of you ?

  • Provide technical support for users both on hardware and software related issues including ERP software
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system, application, hardware and network connectivity issues
  • Install and test software and hardware devices and deploy to live environment once satisfied with results
  • Manage configuration of both client and server based operating systems, utility programs and application software
  • Be responsible for user and rights management
  • Monitor systems health and respond immediately to issues that might cause usability or security problems
  • Review systems and application logs to detect possible issues as early as possible
  • Create backup schedules and verify the integrity of such backups
  • Keep software updated with the necessary updates and patches in a timely manner including the necessary firmware updates
  • Ensure the proper operation of the infrastructure including firewalls, VMs, malware and anti-virus protection
  • Identify any possible future scaling or security concerns and come up with mitigation plans

What are you expected to bring ?

  • 2+ years’ experience in system administration in a Windows server/client environment
  • Experience in the maintenance and administration of MS SQL databases
  • Experience in VMware
  • Have knowledge in networking, VLANs, VPNs and Active Directory
  • Have knowledge in maintaining and testing disaster recovery and fail-over procedures
  • Perform well under pressure and be willing to be on call after office hours
  • Possess good communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills and be able to prioritise tasks
