RecruitMalta are currently helping our client who is a leading insurance company with a global footprint, who has a great opportunity for a Claims Speacialist to join this high performance team based in Ta’ Xbiex. The company is moving into an expansion phase, is progressive and ambitious, has a policy of promoting from within and has a dedication to professional training and progression.

What is the plan for the Claims Specialist role?

To establish the validity of and process all  claims, while ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction

What will you do as a Claims Handler?

  1. Answering calls and attending to client’s needs as and when required
  2. Deliver all specific objectives as assigned upon appointment.
  3. Efficiently handle all claims which are part of the job holder’s file allocation in accordance with group SLA’s.
  4. Deliver a customer centric claims proposition that will enhance the Insurance brand/reputation.
  5. Act as a reference point for claims handlers and assist with their training and development.
  6. Gather and process information, as directed, to support the effective assessment of more complex cases.
  7. Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development. Ensure knowledge is up to date with local and international laws and regulations that effect the insurance claims environment and reporting such developments to the senior management.
  8. Carry out robust diary management of an assigned caseload and improve closing ratios to above 100%.
  9. Provide excellent customer service and encourage others to do likewise
  10. Assist Senior Management with claims audits.
  11. QA Management.
  12. Handle a portfolio of recovery files.
  13. Oversee and assist with Insurance recoveries.
  14. Reviews files for fraud indicators.
  15. Adhere to the Insurance Compliant Management process.
  16. Undertake any other task as may reasonable be required by the company, and where circumstances dictate, work more flexible/additional hours to support the claims proposition for our customers.

Salary  based on experience with benefits package.
